In 1953 (Showa 28), a small restaurant called "Torihei" was born in Maebashi City. The history of Torihei began there. At that time, one of the dishes that received great acclaim was "Torijū." It consisted of thinly sliced chicken with Torihei's secret sauce, served with fluffy rice. Regular customers would often stop by after work to enjoy the outstanding combination of Torijū. It was also frequently requested for business meetings and entertainment occasions.
With the desire to share this deliciousness with more people, Torihei established a company called "Torihei Ltd." in July 1972. We opened a "Cooking Center" in Rokku-machi, Maebashi City. In March 1977, we reorganized the company into a corporation and six years later, established a "Order and Delivery Center." In 1991, We completed the "Headquarters Order and Delivery Center," capable of producing approximately 8,000 servings of "Torimeshi Bento" per hour.
From its humble beginnings with only dozens of employees, Torihei now has approximately 600 staff members. The business, which started in Maebashi City, has expanded to 33 stores, including 27 in Gunma Prefecture, five in Saitama Prefecture, and one in Tochigi Prefecture. We have also developed an online ordering system utilizing the internet, allowing numerous customers to savor the deliciousness of Torihei every day.
Moving forward, we will continue to create a new history that brings joyful moment to everyone toward the future.
